It's November and turkeys are on sale everywhere. I always buy some extra birds and shove them in the freezer with the massive amount of venison (it's deer season, Y'all) and the pig (fall is pig processing time) so I can have turkey year-round.
Have you ever tried to buy a whole turkey in summer? Impossible, I tell you. Around here whole turkeys are only sold during the holidays.
So, if you like turkey - stock up now.
I haven't raised my own turkeys yet, but I want to.
