I was again a bit surprised to wake up to lambs in the sheep field this week.
Last year we weren't even aware that our ewes were pregnant. Our first ram died and our second ram didn't show up on the farm until late November, so we thought we had missed the rut.
Tunis sheep go into a rut once a year and breed. This happens in the fall and spring lambs are the result.
