Creative Ideas for Easter Baskets

It’s spring!  The birds are singing.  The frogs are croaking.  The flowers are emerging from the earth.   It’s Easter Time!

I don’t want candy (OK, maybe a little candy would be OK), I don’t want toys, I don’t want peeps,  I don’t want chocolate bunnies with yellow eyeballs.  I want something different, something I can use, something creative in my Easter Basket.

Here’s what I want in my Easter Basket:

I made several of these last weekend for a party.  They are rustic, charming and filled with goodies any farm girl or guy would enjoy.

I purchased the baskets at Salvation Army 3 for $1.  Yes, that’s 3 baskets for $1.  And they are ADORABLE!  Don’t you think?

I stuffed them mostly with things I already had on hand.

  • Candle holders & candles
  • Note pads
  • Seed Packets & pouches of Sugar Snap Peas
  • Handmade Soaps
  • Onion Sets
  • Homemade Preserves
  • and a few candies

Some other items I thought might be cute to add:

  • Gardening gloves
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunblock
  • Gardening shovel or trowel
  • Sun visor

This is my kind of Easter Basket!  They have a primitive feel, which I love.  They are old fashioned, again – love.  They won’t make my jeans (very) tight.  They contain fun items I can use.  They include things I can plant in my garden.

Yes, Thank You.
