I think it's because of "choppy-choppy."
Did you ever eat at one of those Japanese restaurants where they throw food at your face?
They were my favorite as a child & we always called them, "Choppy-Choppy."
I was never a fan of squash unless we were eating Choppy-Choppy. Give me some of those sauteed zucchini strips & that fabulous ginger dipping sauce & I'd eat every squash you put on my plate.
