Can Pigs Be Raised on Grass?

Lots of homesteaders and pig enthusiasts are very excited about raising pigs on grass. Grass-fed meat is all the hype these days. There are all sorts of claims about pigs living on grass for hundreds of years and that we have only just recently started pouring corn into our bacon.
