How to Freeze Okra
Growing okra is a cinch. To learn how go here.
Once the okra starts coming into the house from the garden you are going to want to do something with it other than eat it. There is only so much slime okra one can eat.
Okra can be canned or frozen. I think freezing is the easiest way to preserve okra.
Chose spears 2-3 inches long. Longer spears will be tough.
Cut the spears into bite-sized rounds.
Lay in a single layer on a baking pan.
Put in freezer 2 hours to overnight (until the okra is frozen).
Move the frozen okra into zip-top storage bags and label with date.
That’s it!
So easy.
