My favorite bratwurst is the Italian kind.
I have no idea if these are sold at supermarkets. I get my brats from my butcher. Who crafts them from my pigs or other animals that I raise here on the homestead. Yes, he makes brats from just about any animal... I personally have enjoyed sheep brats, goat brats, deer brats and of course, pig.
Most butchers have quite a selection of options for the animal you deliver to their facility.
